Kingson was part of the team behind the 2014 Sustainable Product Innovation project at Procter & Gamble (P&G) EMEA Headquarters, Switzerland, where he contributed to initiatives focused on reducing the carbon footprint of haircare products. His international exposure also includes work as a sustainability researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Development, Bangalore, India, where he contributed to the project Strategies for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Indian Cities.
As the Head of ESG/Sustainability at Medplus Pharmacy, Kingson established and led the company’s ESG function. His notable achievements include: establishing Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) for Medplus Pharmacy; and leading the company to win the ‘Most Sustainable Retail Organisation’ at the 2023 Africa Retail Awards; managing ESG risks in the 13 Dangote Cement plants and Transport division in Africa; upgrading Dangote’s CDP Climate Change ratings from ‘C’ to ‘B’; pioneering the development of the first industry specialised sustainable waste management programme at the Lagos Business School (LBS);
Kingson brings a systems-thinking approach to integrating ESG principles into business operations, managing environmental and social risks, and aligning strategies with global standards to drive sustainable growth. He has authored eight sustainability reports using the GRI Standards, four CDP Climate Change and Water Security reports, and led seven ESG materiality assessments for leading organizations, including Oilserv Ltd, Medplus Pharmacy, Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar Refinery, NASCON Allied Industries, and May & Baker Plc.
